Privacy policy

Last updated 1 November 2026

This policy explains what personal data the HalfRocket website collects, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: I only see what you send me, I use it to reply, and the site does not track you.

Who is responsible for your data

HalfRocket is the trading name of Viveak Vadivelkarasan, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. That makes me the controller of the personal data described in this policy. There is no company or team behind the site, so I handle your data myself.

You can reach me about anything in this policy at hello@halfrocket.com.

What the site collects

Only what you choose to send me, plus the basic logs any website keeps.

  • The contact form. Your name, email address, company (if you give one), the topic you pick and your message. When the form is switched on, it passes your message to Resend, an email delivery service, which sends it to my inbox. The website keeps no copy and has no database of enquiries. When the form is not switched on, it sends and stores nothing, and asks you to email me directly instead.
  • Emails you send me. Whatever you choose to include, stored in my email account.
  • Server logs. Vercel, which hosts the site, records technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser (user agent), the page requested and the time. These are used to deliver the site and keep it secure.

The site does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and does not build profiles of visitors. Fonts and images are served from this site’s own domain, so loading a page does not send your details to a font or image provider. The cookie policy has more detail.

Why I use it, and the lawful basis

  • To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, to prepare a proposal. The lawful basis is my legitimate interest in answering people who get in touch, or taking steps you have asked for before entering into a contract.
  • To run and secure the website. The lawful basis is my legitimate interest in keeping the site reliable and protected from abuse.

I don’t use your details for marketing, add you to a mailing list or sell them to anyone.

Who else handles it

A small number of service providers process data on my behalf, under their data processing terms, and only to provide their service:

  • Vercel, which hosts the website and keeps the server logs.
  • Resend, which delivers contact form messages to my inbox when the form is on.
  • My email provider, which stores the messages I send and receive.

International transfers

Vercel and Resend are based in the United States, so your data may be processed there. When it is, the transfer relies on the safeguards in each provider’s data processing terms, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses, or the UK–US data bridge where the provider is certified under it.

How long I keep it

  • Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months after we were last in touch, then deleted, unless a project follows.
  • If we work together, project correspondence is kept for as long as the work needs it, and then for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting records.
  • Server logs are kept by Vercel for the short period its retention policy sets.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) you can:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data I hold about you;
  • ask me to correct it or delete it;
  • ask me to restrict how I use it, or object to it;
  • ask for a copy in a portable format.

Email hello@halfrocket.com. There is no charge, and I’ll reply within one month.

Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how your data has been handled, please tell me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Games and apps

This policy covers the HalfRocket website only. Games and products marked as AadhiPixels Ltd are published by AadhiPixels Ltd, a separate company, and each has its own privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

If the way the site handles personal data changes, for example if analytics are ever added, I’ll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
